Help! XL2002 erroneous pivot table fields

Has anyone run across this? Some of my pivot tables are
returning extra pivot items from my data. For example,
my data has a field named LotNumb. This field is text
and can only be 0001, 0002, 0201, 0202, 0301, or 0302.
When I run the pivot table with LotNumb as a secondary
grouping, I get back the above groups plus 03012. Using
the drilldown, the data shows the LotNumb as 0301.

Everyone here is stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bruce:

I find that the pivot table wizard Options>uncheck AutoFormat Tabl
helps with holding column widths on refresh.
