Help with xp

I have an intel based imac with xp on it. Xp starts to boot up normally on it and then my account takes like 15 minutes to fully load. i used xp for about 3 months and then i put mcaffe virus scan plus. About a week later this happened. Also after it is all loaded i cannot run some apps and cannot connect to the internet. My imac is 1.8 GHZ and has 512 ddrm memmory. It ran xp perfect before.
WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I found McAffee to be terrible software and it too slowed down my desktop with similart specs to yours, however not this severly. I would suggest typing MSCONFIG in the run menu, going to start up and disabling all startup applicatoins, and then see if you can boot normally.
