Help with system rebooting

I am running Windows XP Professional and after uninstalling a program
tonight the computer will not restart - it goes into a loop and gets as far
as the black Windows XP screen and after a second or two you see a blue
screen flash for a very short time and then it restarts again. I can get
into safe mode without any problems but once there I'm not sure what I
should check to try to fix the problem. I've done a couple of web searches
and found advice to boot up in safe mode, go to System properties "Advanced"
TAB
and in the Recovery section....click the "settings" button un-check the
"automatically restart" line. I can now see the blue screen and it says
that if a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver
etc....

The technical information line says:
*** STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x8051AF9C, 0xF7C7E914, 0xF7C7E614)

I have no idea what that could be referring to so any suggestions would be
much appreciated.

I have also tried using system restore in safe mode with the two most recent
saved settings but neither of these helped, nor did trying boot with last
known good configuration.

Another suggestion I tried, from Microsoft Knowledge database 310396 to
replace the kernel32.dll file using the XP installation disc, also didn't
solve the problem.

This reboot looping problem happened with the same computer about a month
ago and after a couple of hours of trying to reboot it eventually started
working again and I've had no problems until now.

seemed like a good article to me & it unifies
everything. Luckily I havent had to use it.

Any advice given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS. Personal attacks, nitpicking & criticism
of anything but content will NOT be responded to. Those
posters should spend their time taking the test @
