Hi there,

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what has happened to one field in
my database. Please forgive me as I am not very experienced with Access.
The current issue seems to be a programming issue... I do not know recall
what I clicked, but I closed the database and lost the programming on a
single field. The field was programmed by a co-worker to have a drop down box
with a look up menu with text (employee name) and a corresponding number for
each name. Now only the number is listed in each entry... the drop down box
and the text/name are no longer avavilable.
Our tech support is not responsive as they help with hardware only.
Please give me any feedback that could help restore the field to it's
original format!!!

I am guessing only but I think you are referring to the DatasheetView of a
Table in your database. It is more likely that your co-worker simply set up
the Look-up feature of the Field in the Table rather than "programming".

I think a more appropriate solution is to get the co-worker to reset this
for you (it should take less than 5 mins) rather than you try to do it since
you need to open the Table in DesignView and you may do some damage to the
data in the Table.

Better still, get the co-worker to show you how to set up the Look-up
feature to restore what you had before and then you can apply to other
areas!

thanks, I'll give it a try.
