I think I'm up a creek without a paddle. I got a new computer and decided to
give my mom my old one so I put in the windows cd to do a new install to get
rid of all my old files and let the pc run faster. However after waiting for
the install for 2 days and seeing the time remaining button stuck on 1 hour
for over 47 hours I looked in the booklet and it said if the installation
freezes to restart, this however made me uneasy but what else was I supposed
to do. So of course I restart and it had deleted my old windows already and
now it won't let me install because I only have an upgrade cd. And I just
bought a new upgrade cd because someone installed a pirated xp on my
computer. Please don't tell me I have to go and buy a new install cd. Note I
did have a legal version of windows prior to the xp upgrade, I got a virus
and paid someone to fix it and he fixed it by installing a pirated xp.
