Help with Micrsoft Excel!!!

I know basics with micrsoft excel but am having trouble with the following.
So I have to prepare a side-by-side bar chart showing the type of entree purchased by males and females.

The date is given to me from a data sheet
and the entrees are as follows :
1=beef
2=fish
3=pork
4=other

and gender is
1=male
2=female

How do i do this:S
