Help with media player

Hi, this may sound stupid but when I open a media file, it always opens in
real player. How can I change it to open in windows media player? Please

somebody else will prob tell you how to change file associations if you
can't google it.

But, i'll tell you to uninstall "real player" and install "real
alternative". It looks like media player but plays the extensions of
"real player" and quicktime.

You should be able to fix this by opening Windows Media Player directly.
Go to the Tools menu, and then select "Options". You'll see a bunch of
tabs. One of them says, "File Types". Click on that. Then check whatever
boxes you want WMP to play. If you want it to play everything, just click
on the button that says, "Select All". Click "OK", and you should be set.

What probably happened is that when you installed Real Player, it
automatically selected itself as the default music player. It does things
like that.
