Hello everyone!

Lately i have been having a big trouble with my internet while using windows
XP.
My family uses this computer, so we have 3 different user names at the main
XP page to log into for access.

For some reason lately only ONE of the users has been able to run the
internet, and the other users are just being left high and dry. On the two
users that aren't running the internet, it wont let me use any program such
as itunes, limewire, or ANY program that runs of internet stuff.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

A response would be HIGHLY appreciated!

thanks!

Rightclick the connection icon in the 'Network Connections' folder,
Properties, Networking tab, TCP/IP protocol properties, General tab, Advanced
button, General tab, select "use default gateway on remote network".

thank you for the response!

i followed you all the way until we reached the point of clicking the
Advanced button and then General Tab. For me there is no general tab, and i
searched all of the tabs and did not find anything relating to "use default
gateway on remote network.

When you click on Advanced Button you will find it under IP settings Tab
second text Box.

When i am at the place, I do not have anything under 'default gateways'
All i have is "DHCP Enabled" under 'IP addresses'.
nothing under gateways.

is that odd?

Open "Network Connections" folder, and run the "add a new connection" wizard,
setting it to be default, and share with all users.

Also, might i add,
On all of the user names on the computer the internet connection reads
'connected' and looks just normal. Every username has the same programs and
such,
but the one user that is working has the most files, most music, most crap
downloaded onto it, which i find odd. seems like it would be the first one
out.

Well Tree, you need to provide more Info and read my reply to your other
post (with respect to mark Effort) and then come back to this thread and tell
us how do you connect to the internet, is it with Router/Modem and is there
is a Wireless connection on this machine?.
What type of user are they, Admin or Limited users, another look under their
Programs , does the Connection listed there?.
Look in here:
Open windows explorer and locate this:
C:\Documents and Settings\<User1>Programs = is the connection listed in the
right Pane/Window.
