help with group policy setting

hi i was playing around gpedit.msc and happened to disable add/remove
snap-ins on mmc, now i can't use the admin snap-ins like computer
management, and even group policy editor itself.

how can i restore this?

Never mind :)

Try this

start/run
regedit

Go find the key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\MMC\{8FC0B734-A0E1-11D1-A7D3-0
000F87571E3}\Restrict_Run

Restrict run will be set to 1 if you disabled access to group policy snap in
gpedit.msc down the path
Local Computer Policy\User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows
Components\Microsoft Management Console\Restricted/Permitted Snap-ins\Group
Policy

So change the restrict_run value to zero

then run gpedit.msc and change the value in the path above to not
configured, you'll have be quick, before it reapplies the group policy.
After that look around this area of the group policy snapin, particulary the
restricted/permitted snapins and change those back aswell.
