Help with "File Access is Denied" on archived PST files

I archived a bunch of older PST files on CDROM. Now I'd like to be
able to access them but can't open them.

I get a "File Access is Denied. You don't have permission, etc." I
tried copying these PST files to my hard drive and get the same
results.

Can someone tell me how to open them within Outlook? I know where the
menu item is, but I can't read them due to access error.

OK, never mind.

I have it working now.

I knew that I had to copy the files to a hard drive and make sure that
the "Read Only" attribute wasn't on. When I did that, I looked at
Properties and saw that "Read Only" wasn't checked, so I thought I was
OK.

It turned out that I needed (for some unknown reason) to set the
attribute to ON, and then re-set it back to OFF. Now, after doing
that, I can read all those PST files.
