Im using a Dell Inspiron 1501 with Windows vista home premium... So heres my
problem, recently my computer cant recognize anything i hook up to it through
the usb. Once i connect my psp, cell phone or a SD card a window would pop up
and state how i can try and install the driver...So I was lead to a download
a file thing from microsoft, that would fix my problem but it still
continues... The only tings that work are my sony mp3 player, usb mouse and
keyboard. everything else would require me to install a driver...Are there
any solutions to this...

Have you installed the SP1 Upgrade yet? If not, do so and see if that fixes it. If not then START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>DEVICE MANAGER> Universal Serial Ports> and pick each entry, click on properties> drivers>update, OR just highlight the USB in question and right-click and select update drives. Do each one manually if you don't know the problem one. Won't hurt. That or do a restore back to a time point where they worked. Your choice.
