help with dhtml effects not working in explorer

Working with FrontPage 2002 I want to do a "on page enter" effect with a
single graphic. When I preview in browser it is not there at all. When I
preview in Frontpage it works fine. Please help, I am desperate

This is just a guess but it is a problem I have seen a lot of. I have found
that many times an image that will appear in FP will not on the web. To
correct this, open the image, save as, (i prefer jpeg and have had no
problems with it) and make sure you save it to your "website" folder on your
local disk. I know you can change properties within FP but I have found that
to sometimes not work. Once resaved, your effects should work fine.

The graphic drops in from the top right of the page.

1. This and the other effects only work in IE browsers.

2. Remove all spaces (%20) from all file and folder names, as this can cause broken links for your
site visitors/

Thanks, for the advise re (20%) will do so. Why oh why is my browser (Ie
6.?? )not showing me any DHTML effects?

In IE under Tools | Internet Options | Advanced, make sue you have animations enabled.

Enabled. have read somwhere else on this list that one need to install sp 2.
Have had a bad experience with sp 2 and had to re-format all. lost
everything. Maybe the sp 2 is the problem?

Windows XP SP2 is not required for animations, however you do need to test the page from a web
server, and not your local HD.

I have no problem with SP2 for Windows XP Home or Pro versions.
