Help with creating a commerce website.

I am an amature Photographer. I'm trying to learn how to create a web site
that will enable me to sell my photo's on line. So that all I will have to do
is add photo's from time to time and put them up for sale. So that once
photo's are paid for they will be able to be downloaded to the customer's PC.

Any help or suggestions will be helpful.

Thank you.

May I suggest a really great site in the U.K. http://fotopic.net

You get 250MB for free. But if you subscribe to the Premium Service, you can sell your photos through them.

The Premium Sevrice is as low as £3.50 per month, which is $US6.11, but I don't know what country you are from. Here is a direct link to details of that service
http://fotopic.net/gallery/premium/

My wife and I use the free service and apart from a few glitches when they update the service, have found it terrific. Have a look at some of our fotopic sites (named galleries) if you like.As you may gather, I have no commercial interest in this site.

BTW, I also have some photos on my personal website.
To see these, go to Picture Album and scroll down past the references to the Fotopic sites, where you will see a few groups of photos and facilities to view each photo or see each group as a slideshow. I coded this facility myself with help from others in this newsgroup and others.

But, as Fotopic looks after all this for you and is dedicated to that purpose, I think you will find it meets your needs.

Thanks for the info.. Yes I am in the US.. One thing I guess I should have
mentioned is that I already own a web address that I would like to use for
selling my photo's. Is there anyone that knows where I can get a template for
a comerce site? One that will enable me to have something like a shopping
cart for my customers? I already have a Pay Pal account and they will take
credit card orders for me. I just need something like a web template and some
help with setting everything up..

Any and all help and suggestions will be very helpful.!

Thanks to all in advance that help! Merry Christmas!

Dimond,
I don't want to push Fotopic to much in case someone thinks I have a vested
interest - I don't.

But I think that its facilities are great. I also have a web address - see
below. And on my Picture Album page, I place links to Fotopic. This way you
can have the best of both worlds. All the selling part is taken care of
without the need to set anything up. Another point is that your Fotopic web
address can be tailored to your needs. I don't think you can use an existing
web address in Fotopic, but you could check that out. They also permit
linking to your photos from other sites.

Anyway, good luck and I hope you find what you want.
