Help with contacts

I just got this computer today and I've tried everything to get my list of
contacts on the left side like they were in Outlook Express. I read something
about a plus sign but I cannot find one anywhere on Windows Mail. Someone
please help me. Why couldn't they just leave Outlook Express on Vista......

Sorry, Windows Mail is not a carbon copy of Outlook Express.
You will have to get used to a different way of working.
If you want to start a new email, the quickest way is:
1. Click on Create Mail.
2. Click on To:
3. Select recipient(s).

I know of two ways, but neither is without drawbacks since
it results in system-wide changes.

1. Change the default DPI (dots per inch): Right-click on the desktop,
Personalize, Adjust font size (DPI), Custom DPI; if you want to go larger,
I recommend not exceeding 110 DPI.

2. Change the icon font: Right-click on the desktop, Personalize,
Windows Color and Appearance, "Open classic appearance properties...",
Advanced; under Item, select Icon, choose font and size.
