Last month I started my computer and received a message saying something
about bootable disk insert disk and press enter, so I went into the BIOS and
couldn't see anything about the hard drive so I replaced it and installed
Windows ok, now 2 weeks on I got the same message and went intot he BIOS and
selected enter for the primary master and then I saw the hard drive listed
there and did a F10 to save and rebooted the computer and it start fine, is
this another failing hard drive or motherboard?

More info needed, Clayton. What was the exact error message? Just a note,
generically speaking as the message you supplied has to do with having a
floppy in the drive during a boot, if you have an older system. Good luck!

I think it said "disk boot failure insert system disk" but not sure, I don't have a floppy drive or cd rom installed on this workstation anyway, if it happens again I'll make a point of taking note of the message in full.

cheers

Ok, it says DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER.
Having just said that the dive shows up in the BIOS ok.

That is suspicious, one drive down the tubes and a new one
also failing? If there is any way for you to test both of the drives
for errors, bad sectors etc. on a different comp I would test! It
could be the motherboard or even a bad cable but I would suspect a
failing (or underpowered) power supply.
