help with backup please

I have made a serious mistake. I was copying over the Microsoft folder under
the application folder of my personal settings assuming that it backed up my
outlook files. Now when I look i have an office data file, (Outlook)
outlook.srs judith.srs, two .dat files (outcmd and views)and two FAV files
(outlook and judith)

Is there any way I can get my contacts and in/out boxes out of these please
as my machine crashed last week and I am desperately trying to recover

Thanks

http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm tells you what you need to backup
your personal folders properly. The .pst file holds all of your mail,
calendar items, tasks, mail, contacts, etc.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, judith asked:

I have remembered how to back up now but is there any way to extract my mail
from the other files?
