Help with Automating Forms

M

Mick Henn

I am looking to create an automated order form that offers the user a number
of drop down menus to select from. Two of the selections that the user must
make are - "Product" and "Region" - Product A only ships to regions 1,2,3 & 4
but product B ships to regions 2,4.5 & 6.

I want to eliminate the possibility that the user can make a selection which
is not possible to process i.e. Product A, shipping to region 5 but at the
moment my I don't know how to do this.

I have built the form using the legacy forms section of Word 2007 - any help
with the above problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mick.

See http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Linked_DropDown_Fields.htm for a method
of making the list in the second dropdown depend on the selection in
the first dropdown. It requires a fairly simple macro, for which
there's an example that you'll need to modify for your data.
