I'm having an error that I can't find on any of the MS sites. The error
says: Source File Not Found: D:\ZF5611407.cab. Error 1311. It says the it
will cause Windows to not display properly. One of the symptoms is displayed
in Word. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? After many failed attempts at
reinstallation, I've successfully deleted and reintstalled MS Office SBE 03
on my brand new computer (Dell Inspiron 6000). The display issue remains.
Can I reinstall the missing source file? Or is there really something else
wrong? OS is XP Media Center 05.

You're post is no really all that clear. When does this message appear?
What display issue remains? What symptom is displayed in Word?

Without knowing further see if this might help:

"Error 1311. Source file not found…" error message when you install
Office XP from the CD on a Windows 2000-based workstation

Thanks, Rock!
That is the correct error. Now, I'm wondering what the symptom in Word is?
I guess it's not necessarily related??

Symptom: In Word (Office SBE 03) when opening a new document, the
buffers/margins are gone at top and bottom and the cursor begins on the black
line of the edge of the document. When typing, it still begins there as if
that's where the margins are set. When I view in Print Preview, it views
properly, but not in the working view of the document.

It wasn't doing this before, and views properly on my saved documents. I
didn't change any settings, and haven't been able to find a cause. When I
select View>Headers and Footers, the margin spaces will appear, and stay in
view even after I close the Header and Footer view. I thought reinstalling
Office would correct whatever the problem was, but it has not.

Any suggestions??

I found another post in a different area regarding this problem. The Word
portion of my problem seems to frustrate many Word users. In MS Office SBE
03 (I don't know about other versions) in Word, there is a setting that seems
to be easily affected. It causes the space at the top and bottom of the
pages to disappear in Print Layout view, though the view in Print Preview is
correct and shows the correct spaces are there. The cause is a setting gets
changed, by users accidentally clicking it and not knowing it, or in my case,
just by something else going on.

To correct the problem, go to Tools>Options>View tab>Print and Web Layout
Options section, and check the box White Space Between Pages.

The way this can be accidentally changed is when working in Word, near the
top or bottom of the page, the cursor turns to little double arrows that say
"Hide White Space" which is a direct link to that setting and can turn it off.

I hope this helps anyone else frustrated with this problem.

Thanks so much for your help Rock! You were exactly right with that error!
I so appreciate it! :)
