HELP!! Where did the 3 gigs go??

I installed a program couple of days ago, the size of the
program was 3 Gigabytes.

When i uninstalled it, the local 'c' drive space
should've been 3 GB free, but it remained the same!!

For some reason i didn't get my 3 gigs back, and i
checked in program files to make sure that program wasn't
there.

NOTE: I already ran defrag, scan disk, disk cleanup but
still i can't get the 3 gigs back.

Can somebody please help me?

You are running XP, right? "System restore" is probably still keeping these
files for system restore points... If you truly want the space back, then
you'll need to disable it (my computer-> properties -> system restore)...
But, in the same time, you'll lose all your restore points...
