When attempting to email a PDF file, an error window pops up in Outlook 2002
that states 'The action could not be completed'. Then another window
immediately pops up and says 'A dialog box is open.Close it and try
again'.[The crazy thing is that there is no diaglog box open]. Outlook then
freezes up on me. I did have Outlook 2000 and got updated to Outlook 2002
via Microsoft's website. I didn't have this problem before the update.
My version of Outlook is Microsoft Outlook 2002 (10.4219.4219) SP-2

Please, please if anyone can help me fix this problem, it would be so
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Regina Brown

It sounds like some malware is interferring. Download,
install, update and scan with Ad-aware SE Personal from

Chuck,
Thanks so much for attempting to help me. I did go to that website and it
made my whole computer shut down. I got an error message 'This shutdown was
initiated by NT Authority\SYSTEM. DCOM Server Process Launching Service
Terminated'. IThe software installed but when I attempted to scan I got the
above error message. I ended up. The problem is fixed however, Thank the
Lord. I ended up re-installing Microsoft Outlook from the disk and I backed
up all pst files beforehand.Everything is fixed now. I think you were
right. Some nasty stuff got on my computer.
I really appreciate you help. Have a great New Year. May God Bless you.

Just going to the website?
I got an error message 'This

Do you have a firewall? Do you have good antivirus software?

Still might not be out of the woods, although it's great you had backups.
AdAware and Spybot are great programs....and I suggest you re-try. Never
connect to the Internet without a firewall, not even for a second. Also
update your antivirus software & run a full scan.

I really appreciate you help. Have a great New Year. May God Bless
you. "Chuck Davis said:

Hi Lanwench,

I do have a firewall and AntiVirus software. Well what I ended up doing is
going to Microsoft and downloading Office 2003 for a 60-day trial period.
I'll purchase it at the end of the trial period. Everything is working well.
No crashes at all. My porblems are over. Thanks to everyone for all your
help.

Regards,
Regina
