help transfering info

ABC

Any help would be appreciated.

My motherboard went out on me and I slaved the hard drive to a new computer.
I reloaded MS office 2003 and I want all my info from the old hard drive
(emails, contacts ...), but I can't find them. Any ideal where they may be.
When I do an install, it is just a typical install and what ever file it
wants to create or put things into that is where it will go.

Thanks

Hi Russ...Please help..

I bought a new laptop.. I copied over my pst files to the appropriate
directory....many times. But for some reason my outlook Calendar keeps
showing older versions of my calendar and not the current one.

I used to share quite easily from my PC to my old laptop by just copying
over and replacing the outlook folder but it won't work on the new one.

How do I fix this

Thanks so much

The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:

Read the directions I posted.

Nowhere do they say to copy the file into the default directory. That is
wrong. It corrupts the profile and may corrupt the PST file.

Thanks for the info. I had to unhide the folders.
