I have a user on my 2000 AD domain that is unable to access any
network resources, the computer is generating event ID 5719 errors
"There are no Logon servers available to service the logon request"

The user logon is accross a Nortel VPN link and takes around 25mins to
complete. None of the Network user drives are being mapped and the
user is unable to connect to any network resources"

This happens on any machine...
It only happens for this one user....
There are no problems connecting if the user logons on Locally.....

I have tried everything I can think of and am in desperate need of
some help...

I believe its probably a connectivity issue...however I cannot explain
it as no one else is experiencing these errors....The user has no
problems connecting through dial-up isp via VPN..

I had this last week. I didn't get to the bottom of the problem, but I
noticed that when the client PC was disconnected from the network it would
log on using a cached logon - I only got this error message when the PC was
on the network and could communicate with the DC. Solution was to remove
this PC from domain, ensure the computer account was deleted from active
directory and then re-add the PC back in to the domain.

Paul.
