I just accessed Help & Support Center & tried to access COMPUTER INFO but got
a message saying: The page you are trying to view cannot be displayed. This
may be because of the following:
-- * If you are trying to view this content over the network, there may
be network congestion or a problem with your connection.
*There might be an error in the page's address.
*The page might not be available.
I don't understand what all this means. I always had access before
installing SP2 & now I don't. Can someone clue me in. I don't belong to a
network. Thank you. Phil.

Phil,

See if this helps:

Clicking "Related Topics" and other hyperlinks cause "Cannot display the page" error in Help and Support Center:

Phil,

Can you tell how exactly you're accessing the system info. Navigation path may help me repro the problem here.

Hi RamesH: Yes. I go to Start. Then to Help & Support. Then Computer
Information. When I click Detailed Computer Information,System Config.,System
services or Error logs I get " Cannot display the page". I can access any
other catagory in Help & Support. Thanks again. Phil.

Phil, Not able to repro the problem here. Pls try closing all the other applications and try again ? If that does not help, it may be a problem with WMI.

Phil,

When I type that syntax in to the Help & Support search bar I get a list of
search results just as i did in SP1. So may be you have set up your search
options.Try this:
1.. Click Start, and then click Help and Support.
2.. Below the Search box, click Set search options.
3.. Click to clear the Microsoft Knowledge Base check box and any other
check boxes below it. For example, the manufacturer of your machine may have
added a check box to allow your search to query their Web site for results.
4.. Close the Help and Support Center.
Good luck

John

Ramesh, I have the same problem, except mine is throughout the help system. I
have "XOX"s all over the place, apparently as placeholders for some missing
merged data (sample below):

"Some hardware might require additional configuration to get connected to
the Internet. XOX

Also, whenver I get to any actual content page within Help, the pictures are
missing, and if I hit any Related Topics link, or most others, I get the
Cannot Display the Page Error

I have am trying to access the Help and Support Center but what I get is
"Windows cannot find Help and Support.ctr (I think). for the servie is not
running" and it goes ahead to tell me how to start the Help and Support
Service in the services.msc console but the Help and Support is not even
listed as one of the services. I have ran the Windows Repair ifrom the
original CD but that didn't help either. What else can I do?
