HELP! Sony VAIO and Win XP

When I initiate the Windows XP Setup, my VAIO stops responding and I
get the error message Operating system not found.

The Sony Vaio Model number is PCG-9H4L. This has happened several
times and sometimes after waiting for about 4 hours, I am able to use
the computer...Sony says that it's a Microsoft issue. Can anyone help!

Your hard drive is screwed. Call Sony, they might have you on warranty for a
new HD.

I am having the same problem with my Sony Vaio. It started after installing
SP2. Haven't figured out the problem yet. It is sporadic.
