I inserted floppy and it took a while trying to read it. Comp said disk
needs to be formatted & asked if I wanted to format disk. I said no because
Very Important file is onit for sure. What should I do? Will I lose file?
The file is older than 3 years I know but others have opened with no problem.
THANKS

Sometimes an old floppy disk becomes degraded, and sometimes the floppy
drive is dirty. I would try to open on another computer, then if it
opens copy it to a new floppy and test in your computer.

I've been opening many other disks just as old all morning so I don't think
it is the drive, but I will definately try it on someone else's computer.
Thanks,
Kelley
