After installing Microsoft Office 2000 standard on a new computer
running Windows 2000, I find the help screen only opens 1/2 vertical
while forcing the open excel file also to 1/2 screen vertical. If the
file is minimized, so is the help screen, and there is other quirky
behavior associated with the help screen. I did not experience this on
my previous computer.

Is there a way to lock both files and help screens to full window, so
that minimizing one does not affect the other? Couldn't find an answer
in Exel Help. Thanks.

Try launching the Help window, and then at the top left
on the help toolbar there is a button for auto
tile/untile. I know this is where the feature is in XP,
but I don't have access to 2000 at home, so I'm guessing
it's the same.
