i mean i shouldn't even have to ask.
its a yes or no question.

do you need to have frontpage installed on the server to have
frontpage extentions work?

yes i am a noobie.

Yes - you need the FP SE installed on the server by your host
No - you don't need the FP client software (say FP 2003) installed on the server w/ the FP SE

i formated and installed the aplication role and it automaticaly
installed.
but dose not work.

any suggestion about the problem
