help program running

when i exit from the internet and return to my desk top
and later return on the admin box it will say i have 1
program running. what can it be and how do i close it.
please any suggestion?

If you don't log out of whichever user you are logged in
as the programs in that account stay's active. try logging
out when you're done. another option is to go into
screensaver settings and uncheck the goto welcome screen
box.

What does Task Manager show you? (Ctrl-Shift-Esc)
Use Right-click, Go to Process to see the module involved.

Or, if necessary, find what is running on XP by opening
a command window and entering

tasklist /v
