I recently added a larger HD (160) and took out my old 40 GB HD. I wanted
to hook it up into a portable HD holder and when I try to use it, my
computer crashes and tells me that there is no mass storage device driver.
How can I do this or is a 40GB HD too large to use in an external holder?

tia

hi tia the problem is your motherboard wont accept this
hd as its too large for it to handle.
you could try to limit the harddrive by changing the
postion of the link pin located on the back of the
harddrive this normaly limits it to about 1/2 your mother
board mighr accept it then !
