i am new to using access. My question is.. at present i am using excel to
develope invoices, quotes etc. Am wondering is it possible to creat a
database of stock, prices etc in access and join with the excel template. So
in doing so once i enter a part number the rest of the information will be
added? Or can i do the whole thing in access? At the moment im entering
information manually then searching for prices etc.. a database would save me
a lot of time.. although im not familiar with access...
Thank you

Access is the perfect platform for your database although if you are new to
Access you will need to learn how to use it. Access is a tool to enable the
user to *build* an application, whereas Excel *is* the application. Take a
look at the Northwind sample database that ships with Access. It's not
perfect but you may be able to adapt it for your needs.

Good luck.
