You did not provide any specifics about your connections oe environments so
here are some non-specific options for you.

Have someone in Paris copy the file to removeable media and mail it to you.
Create an FTP server on your LAN and connect from New York using FTP.
Create a VPN connection to your LAN. Create a remote descktop connection to
the computer with the file and copy it to your local computer.
