I'm trying to write a formula that sums ACV if a particular initial i
in column 1, 2, or 3 ... the excel spreadsheet looks like this:

Client Month ACV RM1 RM2 RM3
Viant Jan 3000 CF SU AM
Blair Jan 6300 JD CF
Austin Jan 1026 SU JR CF
DMI Feb 6000 JR JD
Catapult Feb 2400 AM SU
Parks Feb 2000 SU JD JR

ex: I wanna find out how much ACV CF generated in Jan...

so it would sum up all the ACV values for the columns where CF is i
RM1, RM2, or RM3 ...

does anyone know how to do this?

or know of another way i can filter out that information in excel?

Thanks for any and all help,

Liz

Hi
one way:
=SUMPRODUCT(--(B1:B100="January"),--((D1:D100="CF")+(E1:E100="CF")+(F1:
F100="CF")>0),C1:C100)
