You didn't mention which OS you're running but try try booting with a blank
floppy in the floppy drive, you should get the disk error message, eject the
floppy and press any key, this should bring up the boot option menu and
system restore. If push comes to shove, do a system reinstall without
formatting ‹ in my experience, you won't lose any files and this corrects
quite a few problems.
