Help please....service pack fails with dual boot

Hi,

I have a dual boot with win2k/linux.

I have been trying to install sp2/sp3 on my machine for the blaster
worm patch.

Either of the installs do not complete with error- winlogon.exe has
generated errors and the machine reboots immediately.

however on reboot am able to work with my computer normally.

i want to install the patch as badly as everyone....to fix the
vulnerability i need either of those patches.

HELP PLEASE ....

I am also having difficulty installing any updates or

service packs to my Windows 2000. It also states that
winlogon.exe has generated errors and then Windows shuts
down. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jeff
