Help, please - needed ASAP!

Am looking for info ASAP re: reinstallation of XP over
old. Anyone have experience doing it? I need to know
what, if anything, will get trampled. The old XP already
on the PC was NOT factory-installed. I think that makes a
difference. Thanks so much!!
