I tried to uninstall a game called Black and White using the Add/Remove
Programs Feature on Windows XP (I dont have the cd anymore).

I get an error message which says Failed to load dll:E and the code is
0x80040702. I have searched all over the place to try to correct it but
cannot find any solutions! Please can anyone help?

Thank you

It sounds like the uninstall files have been corrupted. The best option in
this case is to reinstall the game and then uninstall it.

Thanks for that Ronnie, but do you know of any other way of doing this as my
daughter borrowed the game off a friend so they could both play it on our
computer when she came over, and now the friend cannot find the disc for the
game! If there is anything else that might help I would be really pleased to
hear about it!

The only other way to do this would be to simply delete the folder for the game in C:\Program Files and then do an extensive search for any entry associated with the game in the registry and delete those entries. (Not recommended!)

I would recommend deleting the games program folder in C:\Program Files. Next, go to Start/Run and type msconfig and press OK. Click the Start Up tab, look for any entries associated with the program and remove the check mark from that item.

Post back here if this does not resolve the problem.
