Help please - Character display

Novice Excel user in need of help.

Hello - I have 13 merged cells in a column. Within this cell, there ar
349 characters w/out spaces on 7 lines of the formula bar.

Cell format:Word wrap, H-alignment left (0 indent), V-alignment top
number=text, column width=35.14

Problem - The last 7 characters are not displayed on the lef
horizontal alignment, but comes in to view along the right if th
column width is increased by 18(136 pixels).

With the amount of resouces on Excel and the time restraint imposed o
the worksheet, research was out of the question.

Hope I included enough information to be helpfull.

Thank you in advance,

D.A. Burnet

What happens if you increase the row height? Does it show up then?

Excel doesn't like doing autofit when cells are merged. You either need a macro
approach or you have to manually size the height.
