Help, please, adding on to items in a column...

Hi...

I've tried, no luck, redefining contents of cells in one single column....
and would like to ask your help!

Column F is a truncated listing of email addresses (A thru E, name, tel,
region, etc).

However, this column only contains 'jdoe', which is their first initial and
last name- which is how the email system is set up..(jgarcia, rstarr, etc!).

All of these are '@xyz.com'. Is there some way to add the ' @xyz.com' to
what is already contained? I tried defining as special, but that hasn't
worked...

Unless I'm doing it wrong??

thank you!

=cellref & "@xyz.com"

Copy down then select column and in place, copy>paste special>values>ok>esc

Hi, Gord...

Thank you for the fast reply- I got it not long after posting...

However, I'm embarrassed! I tried a few times, I'm simply not 'getting it'!

I click on the column I want, F, and it's all highlighted... then???

thank you very much!

If column F contains the jdoe, rstarr etc. then enter the formula in G1 as

=F1 & "@xyz.com"

Double-click on the fill handle of G1(small blck square at bottom right corner
of G1)

This will copy the formula down as far as you have data in column F

G1 should be (e-mail address removed)

G2 should be (e-mail address removed)

Now select all of column G and copy>edit>paste special(in place)>values>ok>esc
