If OE is running, close it. If you don't think it's running, go to task
manager (ctrl+alt+del) and find msimn.exe and stop it from there.

I cannot find in task manager what you told me to look
for-msimn.exe-not listed-

Then it isn't running, and something else is going on, and you'd be best off
asking the software developers who make the backup program.

contacted e mail program, they told me it was not their problem, checked
with Mc Affee, have not heard back but I did turn off virus scan e mail,
coming and going- tried backup again - still got same message-ms still
running-I read about dbx files corrupted, I have begun to compact all e mails
when I open-I guess this is not solvable, -

Got a contact back message- "you have a windows error then, and I cannot fix
windows errors in this situation. Your memory is not being flushed or your
paging file is not cleared when you re boot-I know programs can stay resident
in memory on certain computers if the paging file is large and RAM is
sma-ll--less then 512-but unless you have oe opening with windows or it
starts up with something else starting with windows..it would be impossible
for msinm.exe to run if nothing started the program and it was not in
memory-that is from support in EM Guardian fromCloudeight Internet- Thought I
should tell you of this reply I got back-Thanks

Sorry I can't be of more help. If msimn.exe is not running, Outlook Express
is not running. Therefore, their error message cannot possibly be correct.
