Help On Subdatasheet used to expand downward (+ sign)

I am using a subdatasheet view in a form. The previewing this, there are (+)
signs indicating that you can drill downward for more details. they are
located on the right side.

There are a few lines that I would not like the ability to view downward.
Is there a way to hide the (+) signal so the expanding is not allowed for a
given record. I need this just for a a few records.

If using the built-in subdatasheet, then I think the answer is no*.

*Barring the use of some ugly VBA code to turn the subdatasheet on and off
for records that match a certain criteria.

This is what I am really doing here. I have 3 append queries that puts in
some summary information to my table. I don't have the (+) sign to show up
on these three records only.

I am not fairly good with VBA code.

I don't know that to object to turn on or off to obtain this. What object
do I turn off in the subdatasheet view?? Or do I need to make my own
subdatasheet view??
