Help on Excel 2002

Hi. I try to make a table in which columns may vary in large. Can someone
help me ? Thanks.
 
Two options here.
1. hover your mouse over the line between columns on the column header (ie
between A and B). The cursor will change to a vertical line with arrows
pointing left and right. Click and drag the column width.
2. Use Format>Width then either select coluimn width and type a value in or
select Autofit Selection.
 
If you want to have different widths for a column over various rows, that is
not possible.

There is a workaround to have different column widths. You could merge eg A1
& B1 which would give a single cell the width of 2 columns.
