Help - Nothing I Download will setup/install

I can't install anything I download.

- Can't update Norton Virus defs. Says authentication
failed.
- Can't install Media Player 9. Get a CRC error.
- Can't install other updates. Get corrupt file error.

Nothing I download will install! Any ideas?

I have plenty of room on hard drive. My folders are not
write protected. I don't detect any viruses. What could
it be?

Are you shutting down all other apps.?

I think maybe his/her files are being corrupted during download. Possible
causes might be a noisy connection or misconfigured modem.

I agree, Tom. If the fault is in that direction, it's more likely the
modem, unless he is with a poorly equipped ISP. Quite rare these days,
however.
