Just built a new P4-3.0Ghz system with new Asus P4C800-E mobo and new Radeon
9800-Pro vid card. PSU is Antec TruBlue480. I had other peripherals in, but
pulled them out till I could solve my problem. Power supply works, pwr light
comes on mobo, CPU fan works, vid card cooler fan works, but she won't boot
to BIOS (or anything else.) No signal going to monitor. Monitor stays blank,
& finally goes to standby. No apparent drive activity either. Any help
diagnosing would be appreciated. Have I missed a setting on the mobo, or
could my mobo or vid card be bad? Thanks.

Is there a 4 pin power plug that was not plugged into the Mobo?

Thanks for your reply..the main power plug for the mobo is plugged into the
board. I'm not aware of any other power plugs for the mobo other than for
the front panel power & reset switches. Is there another I'm missing?

There are 2 power connectors on the motherboard, one is for a 20 pin plug
(2x10), and another one that is for a 4 pin plug (a 2x2 square plug). Have
you plugged in both?

Apparently not.... but I'll let you know. I'm at work now, but I'll check it
as soon as I get home. thanks

Sounds like you guessed it: probably a bad motherboard or video card. Try
replacing the video card first.

I didn't have the four wire power connector plugged in! What a stupid
mistake! (Maybe I'm getting too old for this) Once I got it connected, it
booted right up. Everything works perfectly. Thanks to all for your advice.
