I setup a computer with windows xp home SP2 (named main) and set a
folder in my computer c:\mydocument as a share folder - share name mydoc.

I had six other computers in the network and each one had a mapping f:

You are up against the network sharing limitations in XP Home - on 5
concurent logins are allowed to a shared network resource.

Some choices:
1. Upgrade the computer that is sharing the folder to XP Pro. That
will allow up to 10 computers to connect to the shared folder instead
of just 5.

2. Go for a Network Attached Storage drive, which connects directly
to an available RJ45 connector on your router/switch/hub and which
will be available to all computers on the network with no limit on the
number of simultaneous connections. See, for example:
Maxtor Shared Storage Drive

D-Link: http://www.dlink.com/products/category.asp?cid=65
Linksys:

There are a number of other companies with similar products.

Good luck
