Help needed with Discussion Form

I am trying to add a discussion form to my password protected website. I
used the wizard to create the web, and everything appears fine on the website
with the following exception.

When a user clicks on the REPLY link to an existing message, they will get
the "Page Cannot be Displayed" error reply.

When I look at the link information for the reply option, it appears to be
trying to direct the user to the following location

...../_vti_bin/shtml.exe/disc1_post.htm.1

I cannot find this location on my server or home computer, before or after
publishing the site.

Am I missing something real basic here (quite possible!).

Any help from more experienced users will be greatly appreciated! Many
thanks.

That link (in the form action attribute) should probably be
.../_vti_bin/shtml.exe/disc1_post.htm

Please give a URL for the discussion web.
