Help needed re "print screen", Word, msconfig

I'm sure this question has been asked previously, but I can't find an
easy solution to the problem. - Starting with msconfig, I'm trying to
print out several of the listings of programs (e.g., lists of start up
programs, lists of services). Unfortunately, I can't print out the
lists directly. So I have pasted the PC screens showing the listings
(five or six pages of them, giving me five or six pages of PC screens)
into Word, and printed out these pages. However, the printout is of the
entire Windows start up screens, with multiple icons, etc., and the
lists from msconfig are a very small portion of the screen, so that I
can't easily read the type.

I understand that one way to manage the proglem is to use Paintbrush to
edit the screen and crop out the extraneous information, but I'm not
familiar with this procedure. (Seems to me that this is one heck of a
complicated proceedure just to get a printout of the msconfig listings.)

Does anyone have any suggesestions, or can you reference a FAQ?

Thanks,
Jim Cate

Try using Msinfo32 instead.
e.g. for Startup

Start-Run-msinfo32
Click the + beside Software Environment to expand.
Click Startup Programs
Ctrl+A to Select All, Ctrl+C to Copy.
Paste that information in a text file.

This works nicely http://home.pb.net/~kclarke/pub/printkey510ef.zip Download
and install. It will enable you to have a number of options when you press
the PrtScr key. Just select the Rectangle Button and drag the cross hairs
around the area of the screen you wish to capture. Then click Save As and
save in the image format of your choice to the location of your choice. It
works great.
