help, need assitance

heres my problem, when i log in as the administrator, my
event logs will not show up, and when I go to domain
security policy, it says I do not have appropriate rights.

is there a way to go thru regedit and reset these things,
i still have adm rights to alot of things just not these.

As for the Domain Security Policy. If you right click the domain and select
properties in Active Directory Users and Computers can you open the group
policy for the Default Domain Policy?
