Help! Misplaced COA, how to get a new one

I misadvertently misplaced the COA for MS Windows XP media center. Does
anyone konw how to get a new one from Microsoft?

Thanks for your reply. I lost the COA before even loading up the OS, so no
access to the system.

Well. That is a different story altogether. Sorry I have no idea what you should do.

Isn't Media Center Edition an OEM product only? Microsoft would not replace
OEM versions of XP, normally.

I'm not so sure that it's OEM only - I got a copy with MSDN subscription if
that's any indication. If it's OEM then the above page (as in mine and Jim's
post) is the place to start as they have such information on their site
including a directory of OEMs that can be used to get contact information
for such things.

thanks all for your replies. I called MSFT in the web page you sent. They can
generate new product keys, they just ran out of them and need to re-generate
them. They promised it will only take a day or 2 at the most.

Excellent, good to hear it. I've never personally had to go through the
process but have sent the link to people a billion and three times it seems
like and it's good to know that it actually works. You're the first person
I've seen actually reply letting us know that it worked.
