HELP! messed up boot.ini change

please help, i feel like crying.
I just got my new computer which originally had xp home edition.
I tried to install xp pro but changed my mind while during the setup process.
So, i cancel the set up process.
When i restarted my computer it gave me 2 options
option1: xp home edition
option2: continuing xp pro set up

I came in here and found posts on how to delet option 2.

I did exactly what all the posts said:
1. saved the boot.ini file
2. when to the boot.ini file
3. deleted option 2
4. changed timeout to 0.

when i restarted my computer,
the screen brought me back to where i started, only this time there was no option1.
it just asks me if i want to continue with the xp pro set up.

i really don't know what to do.

Hi Jane

One easy option.. continue with the XP Pro upgrade! Was there a specifc reason you changed your mind? You may not need the extra features of XP Pro but it will be just the same to use for you as the Home edition.
