I need to begin sending a mass weekly email update to 250 addresses,
and I want to avoid
"gotchas" if possible. Can anyone give me hints/lessons learned?

- I want to avoid addressees seeing other email addresses (use bcc?)
- I was going to just cut and paste all addresses into the bcc box, and
send the message
to myself each week (protects addresses?)
- After week 1, I was just going to just take the last message, do a
reply to all, and insert
new week's message.
- Should the list be broken into pieces or just do all 250 at once?
- Any other shortcuts I should be aware of?
Thanks!

Take a look at PoliteMail, an add-on for Outlook. It is a mailing list
contact manager and campaign manager with reports that lets you use Outlook
to create/send to specific lists, etc.

We just started using the application and it works extremely well.
Additionally, it will track 'interactions' for your regular correspondence
so you can see when the recipient opened the mail, clicked on a html
link, etc. They're also adding a service in the future which will track
recipients who click a link and are taken to your website so you can get a
better idea of ROI (done via a Javascript code added to your webpages).

You can download a trial version at http://www.politemail.com, which gives
you 150 email sends for free. Purchasing 10,000 send is inexpensive @ $99.

Good luck,

CM

Please try our email scheduler (http://www.lbetoolbox.com/scheduleemail.htm)
which will allow you to send multiple individual emails, either as a one-off
or regularly at a specified time and interval.
